here my dude. got it running at a near real-time rate in citra though so i'm happy enough. i'm not upgrading my 3ds any farther so i can possibly hack it in the future to trade over any shinies i catch in the emulator. hoping ot get the black friday n3ds to replace it in a couple weeks and then hack the old one, so im honestly fine.

Nah, but you need to spend money. You need an SD card reader, powersaves and Ocarina of time 3D.

Basically:
Take your SD card, plug it into a computer, drop the Homebrew starter kit in the root directory.

Google OotHax save, there is a thread on gbatemp. You need the right powersaves file, but there is a whole zip of saves. Download that.

Next start Ocarina, make a save, and exit the game.

Plug the cart into powersaves, and export your save. Look at your save on your computer it will have a 5 digit code like 32202 or something. Open the hax are and find the matching powersaves file. Replace the save on your computer with that file, then reupload that to the Ppt3D cart.

Start the game on your 3DS load the hacked save (it's super obvious, the name is all fucked) and then press A, and it should load into the Homebrew menu.

From there install FTP and save manager and you're good for using PKHex, but can't play the .CIA unless you downgrade.

I get that a lot of people in the community say that hacking is really easy, but i'm on 11.2, no powersave, and don't want to take apart my 3ds as I'd have no idea of how to reassemble it. So, I'll just wait until the 18th

That's the thing, it is really easy IF you don't have 11.2.

11.0 onwards is a pain in the ass because you can't perform a 9.2 downgrade without jumping some hoops.

10.7 can do the 9.2 downgrade, but it's slightly more of a hassle as browserhax is blocked.

10.6 and lower are much easier to hack, and 9.0 to 9.2 is the perfect firmware for N3DS users.

Slowhax (patched in 11.2), musichax (primary userland exploit), and possible another race-condition kernel exploit (also patched in 11.2) are very likely coming in 33c3 (December 27). By updating you're digging your hole even deeper. Be patient. If you have access to userland homebrew, you can play online using ctr-httpwn.

I should be laughing at you retards, but instead I'm warning again to not make the same mistake again. Remember there are likely more pokémon games coming for the 3DS, you'll find yourself in the same situation in the future if you let Nintendo keep cucking you.

For any bros who wanna go back to 9.2 and want to follow EXPLICITLY these directions, you can go from 11.2 back to 9.2. This will give you the chance to put in as many hax as possible. I recommend everyone do the vvvvvvvvvvvvvv hax and install powersave software
