Does anyone else feel like the pace of this game (regarding leveling) has been slowed down?

It took surprisingly long for me to get from Rowlett to Dartrix, when you can normally get to your second form starter in like an hour in every other game. And I dont even think it's just the amount of cutscenes that are adding to this length.

Wow this game was ALMOST well balanced by the end.
It's clear you've needed to use the exp share by the end because the levels keep spiking with no trainers for exp. It's a shame because most of the game is pretty fun and not overly punishing without it.

Is Iron Defense worth using on Golisopod? Mine currently knows Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Scald, and First Impression.

Almost all of them are good except Pyukumuku, but I'd recommend Wishwashi if you just want pure power (especially Special Attack), Golispod if you want a mix between a physical attacker and defensive mon, but prepare to use priority and be annoyed with switch outs, or Toxapex for a godly defensive staller. I think you can get wishi the earliest though.
