has anyone had any luck on OSX running POkemon Moon? I'm literally having no luck in trying to run various speed fix downloads through Wine, so I'm asking again out of sheer confusion - what is there left for me to do/try? If I can 'build' my own version of Citra then I'm absolutely happy to do so, but at present have no idea how...

There's your problem
Not helpful. That's just the way things are right now. Fancy helping or not?
Wine is terrible, you won't get good results by going that method. I would recommend doing a Bootcamp partition and then installing Citra on that system. I'm waiting until I can play the game on my console, but I might still be able to give some advice
I literally have no space left to do a bootcamp partition unfortunately. My laptop is full of teaching materials and powerpoints, I'm waiting for the new Macs to ship before I can do anything remotely interesting like that :( Any other suggestions?

They're shipping now, you Apple loving homosexual.
Get a real computing device.
I don't think the new touch bar models are shipping yet, are they?

You could try running a virtual machine with Window 10 loaded onto it? I personally wasn't a fan of it, but it's probably your best bet if you can't partition your computer. Do mind that you'll need a Windows ISO to get it to work however...

Yes, and if you can afford a macbook you can pay $50 for a used 2DS to hack.
Heyheyhey, you know nothing of me or my finances or how I've gone around purchasing my MacBook. It isn't my fault I like nice things and I'm good at my job.
Well, maybe they are my fault, but that's nothing for you to concern yourself with.
