Can't you guys see that no national dex is a good thing? This means Gamefreak is finally doing the smart thing of implementing a rotation system in the games similar to how card games work when a new expansion comes.

That's why they balanced the non legendary mons the way they did: to remove the speed creep that fucked other gens. Unlike the previous gens where only the first tourney was regional dex only and the rest were national, if we have no national dex we can enjoy a new healthy meta every gen. This will only affect people who are in competitive and the more casual guys can just enjoy their battles anyway they want in online, it's a win/win situation.

Barring the sheer amount of difficulty that adds to completing the national dex in the next game is probably the reason it's gone.
National dex was a waste of time anyway. You could have one pokemon from every evolution family and you'd still have to breed for all the other forms. Would've been better if having an evolved form got you the lower forms entries for free or something.

Aside from classification all the other values are needed for the pokémon to be functional in battles. Which is why they are included.
