I had a ton of trouble with the fire trial since I was planning on getting the QT urchin for my water pokemon, but it isn't catchable until I got past diglett cave. Ended up cheesing it with paralysis and a quick claw magnitude 10 from my diglett

The fire trial fucked me on the first try because it didn't let me set up my team before the fight. I had some low level shit as lead because I was leveling him, tried to switch to Wishiwashi and he got a Toxic on the switch.

If you don't grind it up to 20 it's useless.
Also it's immune to poison which has been my tactic for the other 3 I have done so that was a buy annoying. Fuck couldn't have beaten Lurantis without Poison Fang.

Writing this I realized that you can fucking murder this thing with Taunt, what the hell.

I'm liking trials and totem pokemon so far, ironically enough Lurantis destroyed me despite having the fire starter. That damn supersonic and synthesis spam was annoying.
