Currently reinstalling the .cia
I've been using the qr code download on "3ds.titlekeys.com". I'm wondering if that's the problem. I'm not sure if the code actually links to a .cia file or if it triggers some kind of shenanigans with the eshop.

The cia from that title key website is for the preload. You need the cartridge dump which is found elsewhere. I'll post the link if I find it again.

3ds titlekeys is for eshop games. You basically downloaded the preload, which won't work.

Ah, I did mean 11.2. Had a stupid moment.
Luma is updated, FBI is updated, and sysNAND is updated.
I've been searching and found a trick that involves rerouting the pathway luma takes to a boot file that lets it launch games. Something about luma becoming confused by high RAM games like Smash Bros and Hyrule Legends and needing to boot from a different location than the sd root. I will try it once Moon is finished downloading.

I hope I'm not bothering anybody with the pictures.

It's simply that you're trying to use the preloaded version that doesn't have a seed file to unlock it. There'a s dummy seed you can use to launch it through FBI from my understanding, but you're better off just downloading the cartridge dump.

I was considering doing something similar, but I decided I would rather play Moon for a bit since my legit copy won't be that. I don't mind playing through the story again, I can keep Moon as a file for hacked mons so I can easily gift shinies to friends and wondertrade while the Sun cart stays legit.
.cia in sdcard, now I wait for it to install.

Had that issue too. I went ahead and used the other magnet link. Can't confirm if it plays yet, but it's just the .cia so no passwords needed.
