Thats probably pretty true. A whole lot of Pokemon doe some pretty spectacular things and shrug off damage like falling meteors localized earthquakes crushed by huge boulders being fully immolated or slashed up with claws the size of a pokemons torso and just lose a variable amount of HP dependent on how strong the opposing Pokemon is. If the Pokedex is even partially thought through then they are the equivalent of low-mid level superheroes
