I see this fucking thing and its monstrous potential, and then I see /vp/ whining about it's ability constantly. I just don't get it.

Anyway, looks good. Poison jab may work better than Rock slide, though. Aqua Jet covers Fire types already, and Poison nails Fairies hard, which seem like theyll be more present this gen.

I'm wondering if a "/First Impression" should be added after Liquidation as well. You're right in Leech life being the more desirable Bug move, but having a base 135 priority move might be useful in some instances. There's no metagame for SM yet, only theory crafting, and I'm not about to cross examine several hundred calcs to see what faster pokemon it may need that large damage on, but it's significant enough to be noteworthy and a potential option.

Baneful Bunker is protect you don't run both.
Only run T-Spikes if you plan on using merciless
If not and you still want tspikes always make sure you get two layers out because poison as a status sucks
But really, don't use Merciless and Spikes because this thing will be on most teams and will cancel that strategy out immediately, because of this Recover and Regenerator are better. Probably use Liquidation and Venoshock as attacks anyways.

Sure, I'll agree with you there. There's definitely some sort of hazards management needed. That limits it from switching directly in on something unless it resists it, UNLESS you use it as an auto pivot.

I think it's a fair weakness to have, though. Defog being as good as it is, and as common, especially being on Pelipper now. It's a weakness you can play around.

You're not gonna use this thing to try and wall entire teams. It's clearly meant as type of pivot, which this thing does fantastically. Throw an Assvest on this thing, and not something meant to stay in and set up. You'll play it to either get off tanky, strong priority, or deal good chunks with Liquidation/Leech life against things that don't outright threaten it.

You know it won't work like that though. It's too slow to ever recover any health with leech life so it can switch back. The ability will probably only ever activate once per battle. Taking hits just to switch is trash when they could have just given it uturn. Making this thing all about switching when it's weak to stealth rock is stupid too.
They should have made first impression flinch and have this Pokemon switch after any attack hits it
