Gigalith will be UU easily with sand stream's buff since Ttar/Hippow will remain OU.

Gigalith will also be EXTREMELY important in VGC as a counter to other weather. He completely shits on rain. In sand with an assault vest standard doubles Politoed can't even 5HKO with scald, Tapu Koko can't 3HKO with thunder even with electric terrain up. Plus it's super slow so it moves first in trick room, has 130 base attack and STAB rock slide.

Probably RU, the only thing this has over Hippowdon is superior special bulk, attack, and Explosion. Outside of that, it has mediocre utility and a tiny movepool of attacks. That said, you are at least guaranteed to win the weather draw against everyone except Torkoal.

Hippowdon is currently OU last I checked. So basically this thing's tier will depend on where Hippow/Ttar end up, I can't see Ttar falling from OU, but if Hippow is UU, this is RU. If it's OU, this is UU.

Sand Stream is the best thing to happen this this guy. With sand up, it hits 294 SpD with a neutral nature and no EVs, which isn't too bad. It can then focus on HP and Att, the latter is a nice base 130. I can see it moving up to OU for at least some time.

It's really too bad it doesn't get a recovery move.

Hail is fucked just as badly as sun though since special tank Gigalith shits on both hail setters. He shits on Torkoal too but Torkoal moves after him so he sets sun every time.

The main issue with sun is there just aren't many good sun abusers in the meta. Minior is the only good one since it can carry solar beam for bulky waters. Liligant/Whimsicott just suck too much offensively to take advantage of it.

It'll be good in VGC though, at least until we get Hitmontop back. I think Arcanine might kind of cuck him out of the spotlight because Arcanine counters Kartana while Incineroar gets destroyed by sacred sword if TR isn't already up.

UB will most certainly not be VGC legal because they are not part of the AlolaDex.

Just wait for VGC18 or 19 which will be NatDex formats and most certainly be included one way or another.

UB are surprisingly not that broken despite how broken they look at first glance. They even just have 580BST which makes them equivalents of the Tapus or Genies or Birds. Nowhere as close to the brokeness of cover legends.

With mimikyu, I think SD would be the best option since most other SD sweepers rely on having a chance to use it in the first place. Since mimikyu is guaranteed get at least one SD off as a revenge killer, he ends up boosting twice as much as a normal SD sweeper would.

Don't underestimate it. With fully invested Speed, Torkoal hits 304 Spd. That pleasantly outspeeds 90 and below and raises its Sp. Attack really high.
