Any leaks about Anchor bro?
>>
Everything's been leaked. What are you asking?
>>
>>29830913
Name: Dhelmise
Type: Ghost/Grass
Abilities: Steelworker/Steelworker
HA: Steelworker
Egg Group: Mineral
Gender Ratio: 0%/0% (Genderless)

Has a copy of Decidueye's sigature move that is Steel-type.

Steelworker is its sole ability and boosts Steel-type moves. We don't know how much Steel-type moves are boosted but it might be 50% to make it to have STAB without having the Steel-type added.

Because only the seaweed is its body.

It's not top tier, but it has some interesting options.

I once caught a wild Dragonite at dragonspiral tower which is 1% and only in rippling water when I was just looking for dragonairs. Keep going and you'll find it.
>>
Anyone making sets for this?
I was thinking a defensive set (not sure if physical or special yet) with Adamant for a little more damage and leftovers or Sitrus. I'd also go,
-Anchor Shot
-Protect
Phantom Force
-Power Whip
Switching in and throwing out Anchor Shot should be great. If the opponent stays in with something that can't kill Anchor Bro they lose a Pokemon. If they do switch, they lose the option to double switch and you can force them to deal with a counter or just go for a strong STAB.
Power Whip and Phantom Force for damage, and protect and Phantom Force for leftover recovery.

Thoughts on a tier? I'm think UU at best but hopefully I'm wrong. Its my second favorite pokemon this gen and maybe even in my top 10 so I'm hoping its good.
>>

is Anchor shot ghost or steel?
>>
>>29833691
Holy shit it's actually better than Decidueye. Who's /fucktherowlett/ and /anchorbro/ here?
>>
>>29836684
Steel, steel worker also gives it STAB steel.
>>29836732
As of now its looking to outclass the owl. It has better overall stats. Also has some weird shit to it, like being a spin blocker with rapid spin.
>>
>>29836684
Steel
>>
>>29836732
I'm not to where you catch it yet, but I'm planning on using both. This is probably a huge mistake.

Should I add a Trevenant for shits and giggles?
>>
>>29836679
UU/RU
its a better trevanant in everyway besides HP and speed
but the lower speed helps him

im not sure how much the steel stab will help him
besides surprising people

I like this idea. You could apply it to lots of other mons, like Gyarados with dragon, or Noctowl and Golduck with psychic.
>>

It's pretty fucking good.

OU material even.
>>
Anyone know if we can "torture" wailmers to summon anchorbro? Being similar to Corsola/Tohapex
>>
>>29837873
What?
>>
>>29830913
so is this the first seaweed pokemon?
>>
>>29838040
Tohapex pre-evo is a 1% encounter too, so IT'S easier to just keep a corsola with low health calling for help and tohapex will eventually show up
>>
>>29838040
Corsola can summon Tohapex, wich attacks Corsola because he's his predator.

Also happened to me with a Carbink. He summoned a Sableye wich proceded to destroy him.
>>
>>29838227
>Also happened to me with a Carbink. He summoned a Sableye wich proceded to destroy him.

>>
>>29838522
It actually refrences this in the pokedex. It says that although sableye hunt carbink typically gabite beat them to them. Even with the fairy over dragon gabite has the ground over rock and is in general more powerful then carbink.
>>
Any footage or gifs of dhelmise? I'd love to see it in action.
>>
>>29834037
>anchor shot
>power whip
>earthquake

It completely and utterly outclasses Decidueye as an offensive pokemon. The only thing Decidueye is better at are a few unique annoying sets like shackle/curse/roost and even then those aren't really that good.
>>
>>29839246
The video was taken down but the attack animation is the anchor and chain extending and it using it like a whip. Looks fucking cool.

>>29836803
I don't actually think it actually does outclass Decidueye. Bulkier with better Attack, but its movepool isn't as good or varied as the owl. Speed can also be helpful, even if its not by much. Decidueye has reliable recovery, Baton Pass, good boosting moves, Defog, and some decent coverage if it decides to go more offensive. I see it functioning as a trapping boost passer, wallbreaker, or counter for specific Pokemon who are slower and at a type disadvantage. Neither is going to be a top-tier threat, but I think versatility gives the edge to Decidueye, however barely.
>>
>>29839435

whats this? its the first ive heard of it
>>
>>29839732
Decidieye has some gimmicky sets which might give it some use but overall dhelmise is looking stronger and overall just better. Obviously right now its hard to tell but from basic observations that's what it's looking like.
>>
>>29839940
Random pokemon you encounter in the wild can call other pokemon to help. When they call those of the same species it will have the pokemon's HA. Also interesting is sometimes they call their predator pokemon who act will attack them instead of you.

Johto encounter rates, so meta!
>>

So, let me get this straight. They gave us a Ghost/Grass starter only to make the same mon but better as a random encounter?
>>
Why is he only catchable so late in the game lads, I want him but I don't believe in using temp mons before catching what I want in my final team
>>
>>29840195
Yes.

It even gets a damaging trapping move. Said move is steel type (which Dhelmise gets STAB on thanks to Steelworker), so nothing is immune to it unlike Spirit Shackle.

If it got some form of Recovery, that would help it a small bit (c'mon, it's Seaweed, it could at least get Synthesis, or even Morning Sun/Moonlight). It does have access to Rapid Spin and is one of the few Grass types to get Earthquake, so those are both worth noting.

Decidueye is ghost type, so he doesn't get boosts from curse, he halves his health and puts a curse on the opponent.
Nigga can't even boost
>>
>>29842165
lol no, I'm saying you trap them and stall them with meme curse since unlike previous ghost curse users you have both a trap and recovery.
>>
>>29842165
Decidueye uses Curse there while trapping the opponent and healing with Roost.
But yeah that's pretty pathetic for it.
>>
>>29840343
When I get there, gonna be chucking bred late game mon into wondertrade, as well as any others I feel like at the time. Probably also gts for relatively easy to obtain favorites.
>>
>>29840195
It is not better, though. It has a shit movepool.
>>
>>29842519
It has an inferior support movepool but has a much better offensive movepool and its stats are better distributed. Decidueye has a shitload of wasted stats in special attack and speed when it's going to prefer physical investment and is placed in that annoying 70-80 base range where it's too fast for trick room but not fast enough to actually outspeed non-shitmons.
>>
>>29832004
Not gonna lie, that's the most unique lore I've read in awhile: Undead Seaweed.
