Perhaps I wasnt quite clear enough myself.

T-Wave causes the status paralysis. It is practically the only move that does this (nuzzle being the only other 100% rate move).

Paralysis reduced speed to 1/4th of the original, and also gave a chance (I dont remember what the percentage is) to fully paralyze a pokemon making them unable to move that turn.

Paralysis should have been nerfed to remove the "fully paralyzed" effect and leave it as speed drop only. One because the speed drop is actually often what it is used for already anyway, two because it makes the game less random (which is a good thing), and three because we already have a status dedicated to making an opponent unable to move, confusion (the status, not the move).

GF should have left "unable to move" to confusion, so that it can actually have a use for once in its life outside of gimmick strategies, and so that thunder-wave could remain at 100% accuracy.
