Just because you happened to like many Kalos mons doesn´t mean quality and quantity have an inherent correlation.

Pokemon is the few series where quantity > quality, as far as new Pokemon are concerned. More Pokemon in a given gen means that there's more variety in-game and less need to use old Pokemon to bloat the wild encounters.

True, but my post was running on the assumption that if you had to choice between one over the other, quantity would be preferable.
