That's because he wears a Z-bracelet and doesn't have an alternate model without the bracelet (that's because Kahunas always use Z-Moves, so they don't need two different models).

The Kahunas use full model animations, the dump is just for the static animation like the ones for generic trainers. Notice that Lusamine, Hau and Gladion aren't there as well.

Hala and Olivia are there because you fight them as both Kahunas and Elife Four, while Hapu (Mudsdale chick >>29777598) and Nanu (>>29777703) are only Kahunas.

The captains are Ilima, Kiawe, Mallow, Lana, Sophocles, Mina and Acerola

The Kahunas are Hala, Olivia, Nanu and Hapu

The Elite Four are Hala, Olivia, Acerola and Kahili. With Kukui as the Champion.
