If you have to put it immediately onto the bench, it doesn't proc Shaymin and the likes so I still don't think it will replace ultra ball.

Thats pretty good. Itll be helpful for loading up the bench with the pokemon you need but as >>29776231 said it wouldnt trigger shaymin or hoopa's ability or any "hand to bench" ability

So it's pretty much an ultra ball minus the two card discard cost, and with the restriction to basic pokemon? Not much I think. Even if it is an item card (which it looks like) I still don't think it'll change much.

better for basic ex pokemon, would rather stick to the level ball for stage 2 decks.
