Well I don't know because I have yet to even try the games out. That being said, it's subjective, from what I've seen I like it, mainly because I've got what I need out of it and nothing more. But others may feel differently.

I'm not going to pretend like I thought ORAS was the greatest ever, but the main campaign was good and worth the 40 bucks to play through for me. It sucks the series is seeming to forget post-game is important too, but it's going to have to really plummet for the main story mode to not be any good. It's becoming one of those series you play through once and then move on to another title is all, as far as I'm concerned.

So, I'm skeptical that the games are actually awful, and I will remain skeptical until I get my hands on the game myself.

It doesn't count as a leak, but for most of the games, the whole game was out for months in Japan before we got to play, so it's really nothing new unless you only started in gen 6.

ORAS was a good remake. I spent literally a year playing it off and on.
Sun and Moon on the other hand? I'm disappointed in it, and I haven't even played it yet. The design, the lame ass attempt at adding some Haiwaiian "themes" to the already established first gens? Come on, get real, the whole game is a stretch. I said it before, Sun and Moon should have been DLC or something. and Add on to the Kalos X/Y region.

In spite of concerns I'm having a lot of fun with it. Game has tons of polish, presentation is excellent, early pokemon diversity is good.

I'm hoping the gameplay is at least nice, but from what we've seen through stats and Pokemon, and the only really decent Pokemon being the island guardians and UB's, it's kind of hard to get excited for the games, at least not nearly as much as I was several days ago.

It's more dreadful when fucking Pelipper and Mantine are looking FAR better than about 90% of the new Pokemon, excluding the legendaries of course.

I'm disappointed because all throughout pre-release I kept my hopes low to the point where all I needed from this game was a Chrono Cross-lite soundtrack and I would accept everything else about it. I can't find a single game original song aside from the Team Skull encounter and normal battle that is anything above "meh" for me.
