The main game is a given. Everyone plays through the main game in 20~ hours.

The post game is what determines if people will be hooked on the rpg or not. Breeding/Battling is a big part of it, but a varied and satisfying battle facility, and extra in-game content, are always a much desired bonus to help keep players interested for a longer amount of time.

I just want as much post-game as we have got in the past.

HG/SS, Platinum, Emerald, B/W and B2/W2 are all examples of medium-to-high amounts of post game that kept me occupied for a long time.

The Gen 6 games however, had a fraction of the post-game, despite being newer (and despite OR/AS being a remake of R/S, like Emerald!)

Gen 7 looks like it will follow the same shitty botched post-game as Gen 6, there is reason for people to be upset. We haven't had a big post-game for 4+ years now, and it's starting to look worrying that this is now the norm for Pokemon games.

Battle Tree is the PWT but worse in literally every conceivable way. Half the game modes, and like 1/30th of the characters.

Aside from that, it's just some Looker Quest ala' X/Y.
