I noticed it as soon as I was done with the first totem, which is maybe an hour or two tops in the game. Since then nearly every wild battle I've had calls in a partner mon. They do it after they've attacked too. Catching wilds is a fucking chore.

Maybe it's not. But my personal experience has been a nightmare. Yes, I can easily deal with them, the issue comes from trying to catch these fuckers. Partner on the field means no ball throwing. "can't aim" bullshit.

Also another small gripe. That first totem battle litterally shits itself on a old 3ds. It takes the totem and the partner up to 30 seconds to choose an action after you have chosen yours.
