I'm not sure how z moves works, to me they sound just like inferior elemental gems of gen 5 except they have a specific move to go with it, instead of just boosting the original move, can someone explain?

Can they do anything special (75% percent damage like Guardian, Stat increase like Evoboost)?

If you use the generic Type moves with regular attacking moves, they're basically just inferior elemental gems

If you use them with certain Status moves, they'll actually have some decent effects
