For the record, the only universal counter for Talonflame was Zapdos.

Spdef and full Def Talonflame could defeat any Pokémon that countered SD LO and CB offensive variants.

126 speed means that with Jolly you can still hit 109 speed to outrun Keldeo and still have enough physical bulk to shit on Jolly Garchomp stone EDGE with standard taunt+wisp Talonflame.

I ran the calcs already, Talonflame reign isn't over, it just no longer checks volcarona if rocks are up.

I doubt it. Priority that powerful at full health (acro) / first turn (brave bird) is still powerful. Even with flame body it still comfortably outspeeds pretty much all of the tier, and fast mons are so frail banded brave bird would destroy them. We're talking about a tier where jumpluff is viable, which is 16 base speed points slower and has a whopping base 55 attack.

Crit chance was based off your speed.
Special defense and special attack were the same,
Hyper beam would not make you recharge if you kill.

so essentially tauros would run body slam, hyper beam, blizzard earthquake
and everything stab hyperbeam couldnt obliterate his other moves would + he would crit a lot.

Gen 2 got rid of all those mechanics and tauros special attack was hella low after gf split them
