The Pokemon League is a thing.
There are Specific trainers named "Elite Four X" and "Champion X" on the files.
So, UB catching, Pokémon League and Battle Tree for Postgame.
Seems okay, I guess.

Sun & Moon 2 will be a more "conventional" Pokemon game, with a second protag battling through an expanded Alola region and the Pokemon League created by the first protag, which is fought Red-style at the end.

It'll be a good gen, don't worry.

From what we know, UB's are catchable. Captain rematches aren't confirmed yet. No post game areas and no Looker/Delta episode kind of post game according to the leaker.

This is very weak. Pretty much XY without the extra town and without the Looker mission, but with some past NPC's in a tower/subway/maison kind of facility.

Mentioned, but not as a league with gyms and an E4+Champion, but as a league in form of the battle tree with older NPC's you can recrute to "build your own league".
