You're shiny hunting on easy mode, post gen 5 shiny hunting is for babies and should be disregarded.

So I have a 1/4096 chance of encountering a shiny. What does dexnav chaining do to that number if it doesn't increase the probability with every encounter?

I'm starting to feel super lucky for getting a shiny Ralts after only 50 attempts.

Got a shiny larvesta and frillish later that day too.

Dexnav has the same shiny ratio as the friend safari. So 256/1 if you have the shiny charm.

Shiny probability increases with your Search Level. It is not a flat rate

Chains only kind of matter. On chain 50 and chain 100, your shiny odds are significantly increased. But other than those times, chains dont matter.
