I don't fucking get it. Why would they do this? Gengar is one of the few perfect Pokemon - I don't mean that because he's OU, I mean it because everything about him seems to be designed and works perfectly. The entire reason his Mega works the way it does is because you use it in tandem with his regular form. If the enemy can EQ Gengar, you don't Mega. If it's prey, you Mega and trap it. Why would they ruin that?

Cursed Body on Gengar is as good as having no ability at all. There was no real reason to change it. Gengar line's whole thing is about being made of gas, it makes perfect sense for it to have levitate. Even if it were getting a new ability, there's nothing more fitting than Shadow Tag because its design is just Clefable's shadow.

I think they were trying to buff it, seeing that Terrains were the new Meta, only to ruin it.
