ive gone water for the longest time, even in gen 3 and 5 where the options for all the starters were weak. for the first time in awhile im going to lead off with the fire starter. rowlet was an ok concept with medicore design and poplio is a mess. luchalitten actually has a fun design and a cool concept (the wrestler heel)

Greninja was also Ash-mon. In gen 5 ash didn´t have a evolution of snivy, just look at the anime, his tepig got an evolution, because they wanted to make embroar the most popular, after they had 2 gens in a row a fire/fight starter beeing heavily popular. But it backfired, now they saw "Oh japanese mon is popular" now just think who will they also want to make popular?

We don't know stats, but he's got a good offensive typing, is pretty much guaranteed to have good Attack and Speed, and is generally quite promising.

we know the base stats of 1st two stages. Leaker hasn't evolved into 3rd yet. boost 1st two were slow so interpolation, according to /vp/ inconclusively suggests 3rd stage to be as slow as ttar.

of course there is the unlikely but possible scenario of complete stat anomaly where it's like a scizor scyther thing. But starter history suggests otherwise.

Honestly, if Decidueye isn't allowed to be good, then Incineroar isn't allowed to be good either. I know it's already too late to hope for Primarina to not be good, but there's still hope to spite hope against Incineroar.
