Why is Fairy super effective on dragon? I know that's the reason they exist but how does it make sense?

Fairy types matchups are all based off folklore fairies.
Folklore faries are cunts.
They are renowned to bully dragons.
They die off in pollution.
They are weak to the touch of cold steel.
They are cheekier than the evil (dark).
They aren't evil themselves (resisting fighting/hero) but they definitely do not play fair to them.

The bug resist is just a fuck you tho.
