I just drew this. I really want to become an animator. I did NOT trace this btw.
>>
Mind if I save it?
>>
Outline is okay such as feet, ears, arms and main body. Black colored parts are also okay. Eyes could use a bit of a touch up, try drawing circles more also centering face a bit and move everything on face closer together as well.
Shading is decent, but could use a bit of work.

I give it a 6/10 decent, but needs work.

Rate my Pichu(la)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
>>
>>29702797
Actually 7/10 it's not that bad, actually pretty good, but still needs some touch up.

Thanks, man!
>>

8/10 job, OP.
>>
How old are you and how much do you know about the animation industry?
>>
The shading and the anatomy is messed up.
>>
>>29702740

Ehh, ain't bad, but I'd work on trying to learn more about basic form and the way things move/contort. Don't be the guy in animation 101 who doesn't know how to draw stick figures.
>>
>>29702740
So a couple of suggestions:

The proportions are a bit off, but you said you didn't trace it, so I assume you didn't look at an actual picture either.
Always put the eyes near the center line of the head shape. Those eyes are a bit high.
One arm is much larger than the other.
Finally, when shading with pencil, shade your drawing strokes in the same direction as the 3D shape of the figure. For example, it's head is spherical-ish, so instead of sketching the lines all over the place like that, draw them along the shape of the sphere for every stroke. If you're having a hard time deciding what direction that is, imagine taking a drop of water and placing it on the top of the head. The direction the water slides down the face is the direction you should draw the lines.

If you are over 14, give up.

The Nutshack is successful.....
>>
>>29703126
I think you mean infamous, anon. It's not successful.

If you want to be an artist for recognition, you're doing it wrong.

Anon as an art major, I'm going to give you the same level of critic that we have to give each other in college.

Your lines are too hard. You need to focus on the flow and movement of your pencil. Start doing gesture drawing to get down the positioning and pose of figures, even if they are just Pokemon. What you have here is a finished drawing with no base, sloppy shading, and uneven proportions. It's not terrible, but it's not going to get you into animating.

There are a lot of tutorials and practice material you can use online for gesture drawing, and buy a non photo blue pencil to start doing under drawings. Trust me, when I first started this all sounded silly, but 5 years later and I've learned it's a life saver.
>>
I remember you. You posted this exact same thing a month ago you cunt
>>

Maybe you should stop memorizing useless threads and get a job, anon. Mom isn't very proud...

1.0 GPA pleb detected

Also @OP as an animator you're fucking garbage. Actually get down to the basics and learn to draw spheres and shit before shitting yourself on a vietnamese imageboard to try to get e-fame.

It's not bad, especially if you're new to the whole drawing thing

Keep drawing what you like! repetition and study is good when trying to learn art!! even though i'm not that good myself

pic unrelated
>>
>>29703599
You know what anon these are both not bad and fucking horrible at the same time

Learn to draw basic proportions and I think you'll get pretty good in no time
>>
>>29703599
I swear to god we've had this thread before. I've seen that team skull grunt before. That same drawing.

I posted another one of this dude's drawings and they're very accepting. Why is /ic/ so nice? They really need to be harsher.
>>
hey I genuinely want to ask to anyone who draws here did you start drawing really crappy stuff then progressively got better or were you able to copy whatever you saw on a paper almost naturally?

I'm part of the latter so honestly I don't know if drawing pokemon is a challenge since I used to draw them at elementary school when Gold and Silver came out.
