Now that I think about it...has there been any indication that there will be hoard battles in these new games? I'd like to assume that its a permanent feature to the franchise and not some one hit wonder for Gen VI only, but knowing gamefreak they probably removed it.

I hope they skip it for Sun/Moon.
The framerate already shit the bed before, and now there's a trainer model added to the battles. Maybe two trainer models if it's like the poochyena horde battle in ORAS.
I'll have no complaints if it's on the Switch, but the 3DS is a piece of shit.
