I kind of agree with OP but for completely different reasons.

I love the amount of detail on its head and don't consider it really overdesigned at all when it comes to the insect parts/ My issue is that it feels like you took a more bigger angrier Wimpod and slapped it on what feels like your average kaiju body. The giant arms are starting to grow on me a little, but the torso and legs just really turn me off since it feels less insect-like below the head and I can't get over how abrupt it is.

But I mean if the only thing you wanted was the badass evolution at least they delivered on that pretty well.

I'm hoping seeing it from behind or something makes the body feel more insectlike, that would make me go "wtf i love wimpod2 now"

I love these types of opinions because then I get to ask this. What makes you think that you are the person who decides what does or doesn't look like a pokemon? What authority do you have over the design process that makes you feel like you should know better than the creators of pokemon themselves? I mean regardless of whether or not it fits the trend of pokemon design etc, it's still an official pokemon and therefore is not over-designed or whatever unintelligent argument you have to offer. If you don't like this pokemon, don't use it. You are after all probably in the minority right now, so technically from that standpoint you're wrong.

There are pokemon I fucking hate the design of, but do I think that makes them bad or out of place? No, in fact I'm glad they exist.
