EXP "All" Share is the equivalent of having Regenerating Health in shooters; Cheap, quick way for Devs to not need to worry about balancing the game.

As a result, using the EXP Share makes the game piss easy, and turning it off makes the game frustratingly stacked against you, more than a Pokémon game ever should be.

The worst thing is that we just came from Gen 5's EXP system, which tailored EXP gain to both your and your opponents levels, ensuring that provided the Devs kept a steady level curve, you should be perfectly leveled to find the boss fights challenging, not too easy, but not too hard as to force you to grind.

They literally had the perfect system, and they trashed it for EXP Share, probably as part of Masuda's plan of making the games more accessible to mobile """gamers""".

IIRC, coding wise the shadow Pokemon you fight and the Shadow Pokemon you get are two different Pokemon. The nature gets locked but the natures and I.VS get generated again. That's why any that appear shiny become unshiny when caught or why some stuff can become shiny after you catch it

They aren't locked in Colosseom. The game just does two shiny checks. One when it appears as an enemy, one when you catch it. In GoD, it still does those checks but it rerolls if either appear as shiny.
