Browserhax works on all versions before 10.6, so you can still use it on 2.1 (I hope you mean 2.1 and not 2.4)

that's because the rest of the information on the genesect is wrong, there was no event with a trainer called "PKHeX" with the TID 12345 and the SID 54321

Had the requester of that genesect used a valid event pk6 and modified iv/ev/nature + remove the ribbon it would've gone through

well that's the thing... technically it is not legal because it doesn't have the ribbon. So if someone were to come up to you and check your pokemon he could see that you have a event pokemon without a ribbon and he'd instantly know that it is hacked. That's why pkhex flags it as illegal.

But the nintendo hack-detection doesn't check ribbons, so it still thinks your pokemon is legal and thus can be traded.

Whats the serial number on the box of your n3ds? (characters + first 4-5 numbers are enough)

Getting a 11.0+ 3ds into cfw status is not easy, as it needs another hacked 3ds or you need to solder some stuff to it (which you shouldn't do unless you have experience with that)

However, your n3ds might be in hackable condition, depending on its fw and be "up to speed" within 1-2h.

I wanted the n3ds to be the "legit" one with internet, regular updates and the like. I wanted to move my Nintendo Network ID over to it and copy over my game saves.

Hacking 3ds has come so far that you can do anything on a hacked 3ds, from playing pirated games online to always updating to the latest firmware and nintendo can do nothing about it. With n3ds you also get the extra of being able to stream your video output over wifi to your pc (so like a capture card), as well as overclocking the cpu to always run at higher speed (preventing lags in certain games).

Hacking 3ds has become a very safe process, you have to fuck up real bad to end up with a brick (e.g. putting EU files on a NA system during the downgrade part)

You can use wifi-transfer for most action on the sd card, but I wouldn't recommend backing up a 1.4gb nand dump over wifi (takes forever), so a card reader might be nice.

You hack it first, then you can do the system transfer after you are done with the guide.

You can unhack it if you want (but there's really no reason to, you lose literally nothing by hacking it)

The guide works for USA as well. You won't need fieldrunners or four swords, those are only needed if you want to downgrade a 11.x system via system transfer.


Consider getting a bigger sd card for all the free games you can get

Well, it learns Belly Drum by level up, and Seed Bomb/Shadow Claw can be learned by tutor or tm in gen 6. Did the event linoone from back then have fixed nature and IV? That would suck. On showdown a Linoone like I typed it out is allowed, so I thought the event one from back then wouldn't be IV-fixed.
