Somebody really dropped the ball hard, or just fucking forgot that they existed. I'm surprised that nobody has asked Masuda about why Solrock and Lunatone received no love despite this game being called Sun and Moon, amount the myriad of questions he's been asked about the game.

If you read their dex entries GF does do have an excuse to not use them, those two fucks come from a meteor crash so they're pretty much exclusive to that Hoenn cave. Should have gotten a mega though.

Considering that Minior is a thing, it wouldn't be farfetched to assume that Solrock and Lunatone could have fallen in Alola too.
