Maybe their insides have actual meat instead of just being 100% metallic?
Stuff like magnemite and kling are probably fully robotic though.
I love pics like these. Not really edgy, but just repainted animal interactions.

>The popplios, having evolved and moved away from their mother, face a challenging time ahead of them. Without the strength or help of a full grown primarina, they are restricted to near shore hunting for octillery, clauncher, and other water type pokemon. Unfortunately, in the northwestern alolan sanctuary, despite the protection and increased stocks of wishiwashi, the massive recovery in population of competitors such as sharpedo and carvahna have managed to make it so most Brionne struggle to gain the food they need. Populations conversely are growing in disturbed waters outside the sanctuary.
I just based it on what's happening with monk seals in Hawaii. I know its a sea lion, but the setting is similar enough. Seals don't repopulate as quickly as sharks and jacks. Plus, jacks have a feeding strategy where they follow larger/ other predators while they search for food and steal what they can at the last moment. They even follow researchers and steal diving equipment and collected fish specimens. Sharks are relatively tame in comparison. In the main islands where jacks are still fished for and sharks aren't as plentiful, the seal numbers are increasing.

I think that maybe the other two starters/ what they're based on or whatever they prey on might be to relatable to most people for a similar image to work.
I want to eat a Gardevoir's liter of Ralts alive as she can only watch on and cry
>>29636334
As if it didn't get an evasion and special attack boost to fuck their shit up
>>29637420
Yes they do, they also dismenber the octopus before eating it.
>>29637689
>Just using real-world analogues
Boring. Why even go to Pokémon world to eat, then?
>>29636334
