Feraligatr is cool(better than Blastoise in fact) but it would been a flawless design if it expanded on Croconaw's caveman theme. I guess they wanted it to be a blend of the first and middle stage.

However water has the best starters imo so there isn't too much of a gap. Primarina looks good but I'm reserving judgment until I get her.

Swampert is cool. I don't think it's the best design, but it's my favorite one because it was the childhood starter I remember the most, even though Emerald wasn't my first game.

Water is my favorite type and I could go with any of them, even Samurott who's hated for whatever dumb reason.
