Sundog is very safe. Nothing about its design stands out as being particularly good or bad, and it was given a unique attack that fills a simple, but long requested, role.

Moondog took a lot of risks and stands out a lot more design-wise. As such, if its design choices are ones you like, you'll like its design. If they aren't, you'll hate it.

Personally, I'm just so underwhelmed by Sundog. Moondog is the better of the two by a long shot, in my opinion.

Haven't watched Looney Tunes in years, but I've always enjoyed it, so I'll give you that one. And I'm not a fan of people doing weird shit with their hair. With Pokémon, though, I like to see some personality.

I prefer the Moon one. The Sun one just looks fucking boring and it's one of the few Pokemon this gen where its 3D model looks WORSE than the artwork rather than the other way around.

But of course the Sun one is the one that's actually going to be a worth a shit competitively because it gets the special snowflake priority rock move while the one I like gets stuck with Counter.

I love both personally. Both wolves and werewolves are fuckin cool, and we haven't really truly had either of those. The designs have resemblance to each other while being difference enough to not step on each others toes.

For /vp/, more people prefer Midday, or at least more openly dislike Midngiht, but /vp/'s pretty god damn contrarian. It's hard to say. I think Midday might have the edge but Midnight will definitely have a lot of fans. Theyre both a highlight of this gen.

Rockruff could have been on par with Lucario if its evos were better but now Silvally stole all the spotlight.

They should have just combined the best elements of these two and made them into a regular werewolf that does something special in each version.

Same. But I haver never really been a friend of Rockruff in general. I think Midnight Lycanroc is a sweet design but it seems like a lot of my expectations about what happens to it came true. A underwhelming "signature" move, gets the most attention of the lucario audience and is a early encounter, which makes be think it'll get absolute worthless stats. The overrated one that most people want get's the rock priority move and probably way better stats. Pretty sad.

I like its midnight form better. Its not exactly what i was hoping for, but its a werewolf and it looks interesting.

I'm not a fan of it's midday form. It looks really bland. It does seem to have better tools for battle least, at least, with the priority rock-type move and Sand Rush.
