i started playing on gen 2 so thyploshion will always be my best guy

however, i liked gen 2 because it introduced aipom a monkey pokemon that actually looks like a monkey

Monkey pokemon are the best so when sinnoh introduced an evolution for aipom and infernape ,infernape became one of my favorites

Sucks how much Greninja overshadowed the other 2. Even though Charizard is also given favouritism in his trio, at least Blastoise and Venusaur have their fans, and Blastoise gets to still be in the limelight given it's usually billed as a rival to Charizard. Chesnaught and Delphox might as well not exist with how much Greninja overshadows them.

Torterra and Empoleon (my favorite pokemon ever) are my 2 favorite starts but the gen 7 trio is my new favorite starter set. Everything is amazing in it.

Probably Blastoise, but imo water gets the best starters overall so there isn't a huge gap between most for me.

Venusaur because it was the first I ever chose, but otherwise probably Sceptile.

Infernape, followed by Typhlosion.

Hard to say what my favorite overall trio is. There's always one that brings it down for me. I'd probably say gen 2 just because of Feraligatr and Typhlosion.

I agree, and I say this as someone who's favorite XY starter is Greninja. It currently seems that SM is gonna be the same but with Decidueye, which is sad because I think it may end up with my favorite trio.

I seriously think it may be the best design in gen 6. Cute, memorable, kinda silly, just a great design. After the shit show that was the unova starters they got their shit together and gave us truly great designs in terms of their first stages.

Why was Chespin so hated? Before the second evos were released, it was by far my favorite. Actually it's still one of my favorite first forms.

Dunno, but if I had to guess, probably the reason you just said - second Evos didn't appeal as much as the first and retroactively gave a stink to the whole design.

At least, that's what I'm assuming here since by the time X/Y came around, I was taking a lil break from the franchise due to irl concerns. So who knows, really.
