The tier list is designed to better let you use the guys you like. If all of your favourites are UU (underused, a midtier of sorts, I guess), you don't have to worry about being clowned by OU (overused, a higher tier) teams because you would typically only battle other UU teams with your UU team. If you have even one OU mon though, you're going up against OU teams no matter how shit the rest of your team is.

You can afford to dip down a tier though if you want and probably not suffer too much. There are Pokemon who are considered UU but have applications in OU, and if a UU pokemon you like works better with your team than an OU pokemon that fills the same niche but better, I don't think it would be that bad to use the UU option.

Fairy pokemon are fairly good.

So I wasn't really sure where to ask this so I guess this is the best place. Right now I am doing a little bit of cleaning up in alpha sapphire before sun and moon come out. All that's left is to catch the legendaries but some of them you need a second legendary to unlock supposedly. I have them in caught in older games so is it possible to use those to unlock the third legendary or does it absolutely have to be the counterpart legendary from the omega ruby game? If the latter then what is the best way to get them? I have hacking available if its needed but I would rather not go that route
