Why the fuck are there so many trailers and previews for SM? It's like we're getting a new trailer every single day, was it like this for XY too? because I can't remember seeing a new Pokemon video pop up every damn second

Nintendo needs to chill down on the hype levels

It wasnt like that. Usually we had one video per month with few extra ones here or there but XY never revealed so much as SM, ORAS revealed a lot though

Gamefreak is making an actual effort of marketing these games worldwide. They got their feet wet wit XY, but it wasn't until ORAS they really started to make an effort and those were just remakes. You put that type of marketing on top of a new game and it's going to sell. The 3d graphics also help make the trailers more fun and dynamic to watch and people feel more compelled to buy them over the archaic sprite look we had for 5 generations.
