You don't save shit. The only reason we as the player know Zinnia is correct, is because we have the meta knowledge that there WERE games set in Hoenn with no Mega Evolution.

There is zero reason for anybody In-Universe to not see Zinnia as a batshit insane street whore.

Then on TOP of that, you really fucking don't save anything. Because the meta knowledge we have about the previous Hoenn games, also tells us that Deoxy's breaks from the Meteorite and lands on Birth Island without destroying anything.

All you do in the Delta Episode is follow some deranged lunatic girl, and stop Deoxys before it reaches Earth, despite the fact that it really wasn't even close to the kind of threat people thought it was.

Don't pretend Zinnia is some kind of hero, when she is not. There is a reason she is reviled, and the Japanese community has completely and totally rejected her.

I personally think she still looks hot, and I'd like to clean her sweaty ass, but that's irrelevant to my post.

Hoopa starts pulling out all of the legendary pokemon form other universes after the whole Kyogre/Groudon thing. You could have some box legends, who are, for the most part, single species specimens, before fighting Wallace.

That is all we know, there's no reason to think things happened any differently in RSE, and no reason to think it would have been any different in OR/AS.

Firstly, the "meteor will do MORE damage" is bullshit you just pulled out of your ass, and not in the games at all.

Second, if that was true, Deoxys should not exist in RSE at all, period. You never send the meteorite to another universe. The Deoxys in RSE came from the same meteorite that existed in that universe. You didn't save shit.

Cynthia was barely a part of the "save the world" plot. Her prominent role in Pokémon is showing up to teach about lore, and being a kick-ass Champion.

Other dimentions like the Distortion World, yeah. But actual "oh, this universe is different to that universe because [insert version differences]" acknowledgement is almost non-existent and unknown in Pokémon.

There's literally nothing to say that the meteorite in ORAS was going to somehow cause any more damage than the exact same meteorite did in the parallel universe.

That's why people dislike Zinnia, and say her plan makes no sense. Because we already knew from the start ("we" being the older players of course, the kids were probably blissfully unaware of this information, because the Deoxys event is 10 years old now.) that Deoxys doesn't destroy Hoenn when it lands.

Usually with every Gen, I can overlook the flaws of the game and enjoy it, but RSE and ORAS just have far too much dragging them down IMO.

I'm mixed on Alola. On one hand, I am sick of the tropical setting. We have been in OR/AS for two years, and now probably Alola for another two. One the other hand though, Alola is the chance for Game Freak to make an actually GOOD Pokémon game in a tropical setting, so...

How do we know that everything that happens in the ORAS universe will go exactly the same as it did in the RSE universe? The fact that there are differences at all means that everything doesn't have to happen exactly the same. If everything happened the same as RSE, why was there no big plan to destroy the meteor in RSE? If everything occurred the same, wouldn't they have ended up using it to destroy the meteor in that universe?

actually, lets go even deeper into the plot and say, the meteor Deoxys was in RSE was the same size, but this one was destroyed by regular rayquaza, possibly with Hyper beam(just like in MD) the meteor shattered and landed in several places, one being birth island, other being the future location of battle frontier(because, as we see, the battle resort in ORAS is way smaller than the battle frontier of RSE)
so, in a way, we stopped Battle frontier from happening

Did you know that the latter half of Hoenn has SEVEN back-to-back water routes.

Three of which, are connected via uncontrollable currents meaning you WILL have to constantly Fly back and try them over and over again to get all the items/find the Regi Ruins.

And that doesn't even mention the extra Dive routes under all of that.

And what is there to see around these 7 water routes? One pretty unique town, and two empty shit ones.

The entire pacing of the game fucking DIES when you hit these water routes man. Nothing but Wingull and Tentacool for the next few hours.

I don't mind the dex itself as there are quite a few Pokemon that I actually liked introduced in Gen 3, but navigating Hoenn was like beating my head against the wall. There are parts of ORAS I like and honestly, I like Zinnia, people are free to hate her or whatever, though people take it a bit too far.
