guys, I was doing my first nuzlocke just a few days ago. In emerald and I got to Roxy's gym. I wasn't expecting it, I blasted through all the geodudes in one hit with watergun from my wingull. and then, well, nosepass proceeded to sweep my whole team with rock tomb.

Doing a blind VW2 nuzlocke, and just beat Roxie. Magnemite was a blessing due to its immunity to poison, and gyarados' flying type was finally useful due to its allowing to avoid toxic spikes

So I'm doing a XY nuzlocke and completely forgot about Amaura's refrigerate ability because I never see that thing ever. The bastard ended up wiping over half my team before I realized what was going on.

Fennekin/Squirtle and without exp share. I ended up losing Squirtle like an idiot after making a poor decision while grinding though so my team is kinda in dire straights atm. Grinding an azurill thanks to that.

I end up losing my mons through grinding in nuzlockes more than anything else and this run has been particularly bad. XY is surprisingly more difficult to nuzlocke than I thought though.

Mt. Moon. Never again, I had an encounter every 3-5 steps.

Captured Darwin the Eevee outside of Mt. Moon. He did not last long; In hindsight he should have been named carmine. Also lost Harvey, my Pidgeotto.

Lost my capture in Mt. Moon because of a crit and then on route 4 because a fucking level 10 drowzee broke out of the ball 3 times in a row, without even shaking.

I defeated my rival Asswipe, and about to commence more training along nugget bridge. before taking on misty. (Also for those who may assume my pokemon are over leveled in this 151 hack Misty's first optional trainer had level 28 pokemon)

Cleared all of route 4 and defeated Misty.

On route 5 I lost my capture because of a crit absorb. Route 6 I captured Dogbert the Growlithe. and in Diglette's cave I captured Meepo, the Diglett. Then I did some grinding to equalize levels but now I need a break.

Also in the future, I never see myslef nuzlocking a gen 1 game again, mostly due to the 'Did not effect' and the constantly getting put to sleep antics.

I've been doing a Platinum Nuzlocke since Platinum is the only version I hadn't played. It's been going surprisingly well. I like the game a lot more than DP for some reason. Finished my first nuzlocke on pearl. E4 was pretty easy, I was overlevelled. I lost most of mine to the early gyms and the sunyshore gym.
My final team was Pachirisu, staraptor, weavile, alakazam, bibarel and rapidash. I have a newfound respect for Pachirisu. This thing was literally the mvp of the e4- swagger, toxic, protect substitute and just wait for the opponent to get hax'd to death.

I went to fight jasmine not really expecting much, knowing she wouldn't have any steel types on her team because of the randomizer. She didn't. She had a full ice team. Half of my team was grass.

They were obliterated. I tried to use palkia but her lapras kept using para, and taking out chunks of health with ice beam. I had to sacrifice my team to heal Palkia because it was the only one who could stop her Lapras.

Aerials died to Confusion hax and a crit in the same turn. Roxanne was a Fighting gym, she had a Mankey and a Medicham as her ace. Noone came back and while fighting paralysis from a Static Medicham brought a sandstorm that fainted the beast after one a couple headbutts, Revenge was achieved by the ability I thought would be Noone's curse. No screencap, but Brawly was a joke. He was a psychic gym. Idris pretty much handled the whole thing being untouched thanks to dark typing. Brawly himself had a Slowpoke that I switched to Wildvine for. Whenever it did damage Wildvine would basically heal back up negating everything with absorb. Brawly's ace was Kirilia. Again, couldn't touch Idris. Easy badge.

I have an idea for a nuzlocke variant. I'm gonna do it on Y. Basically, you give yourself a max limit of Pokémon. I'm gonna say 15.
What I'll do is catch 14 Pokemon in the first route. Wonder Trade everything (including the starter). Continue until I get 15 unique, low level Pokémon.

Throughout the game, I cannot acquire anymore Pokemon. I continue until I lose all 15 Pokémon.

Just activate the 3x exp cheat, you are going to need it.

Also be extremely wary of cheren fight after the third gym, it's a rotation fight and he has a strong AI, so don't just make the obvious play but be one step ahead.

Lost the two Pokemon I caught last night to Janine. I only have Brock, Blaine, and Blue left for Kanto before I go find Red.

This was my blind experience:
Spent LOADS and LOADS of time to level up my team made up of by really little completely shit mons, while only audino gave more than 100 xp because of the retarded experience gain of this game, just to have a CHANCE on the second gym, which by the way is a double battle (AHAH DOUBLE RETALIATE EVERY TIME YOU KNOCK OUT ONE ENEMY), that starts with 2 intimidates because fuck you. I never managed to NOT lose at least 1 guy against this nigga.
The first time I lost my starter to some random dude in a skyscraper with a busted skill link cincinno packing a stab tail slap. It was out of nowhere and left me so salty I spent hours to get overlevelled for the third gym. Or, at least, I THOUGHT I was, since I still had a really hard time to survive it with 4 pokemons.

After that, cheren absolutely swept my shit in. I had no chances against him.

The second run I managed to reach cheren after hours of grind, but this time the survivors were 6, my starter excluded, I had to sac him at the third gym. Literally everyone but my tirtouga died there, and tirtouga would have died too if I didn't win with the most retarded startegy: spamming lemonade in order to make sure sturdy activated every turn, while the sandstorm dealed with the remaining enemies.

After that I just had 1 pokemon left. I reached the fourh gym with 3 mons weak to elettricity, and a krookodile. I was sure he could carry my shit through, but a random static and the horrible fact that I forgot to buy paralyze heals, combined to a random signal beam marked to end of my run. I was extremely salty, I spent 50+ hours grinding the shit out of my mons over two runs, for this?

So here's my advice: if you fail this run, just start another with the exp cheat on. There is no reason to not use it, and I don't know anyone that didn't complete that nuzlocke without it. And if someone did it, I'm sure he would suggest to activate the exp code too. Fuck grinding.

Anyway, got to Striaton city. Kriketune at 11, Sentret at 10, and tepig at 11. Pretty good so far, Kriketune will probably be bad in the future but right now its a beast (technician bug bite? hell yeah).

Ill probably continue towmorrow, but first im gonna grind all my mons to level 13. Got cheren and the two minions at the gym without using any items, which is good. Got Pansage too.
Just in case someone is curious, here are the rules im using:
- *Insert generic nuzlocke rules*
- Cant overlevel any pokemon higher than the next gym leader. If i do i cant use him until i beat that gym leader.
- Static pokemon count as an encounter. Cant use that for legendaries though.
- Cant buy items other than pokeballs.
- Blind. I cant look up movesets or anything.
