I don't really understand what this is or what this means. I don't remember if they did this for XY/ORAS or not. I kinda assumed this meant a full datamine too but it doesn't? I guess we are dumb.

A full datamine may be soon, but its not because of this.
Sun and Moon has 3 encryption levels. the pre-load unlocks the first two, but the last one, The Seed, isn't unlocked until release via the small patch.

The Seed is a 128 bit password of sorts, it'd take so long to brute force its completely possible the end of the universe would happen first.
