Clemont is a bro with fun moments among the cast and good interactions with Bonnie. Cilan also had a lot of funny and eccentric moments in BW.

While I do still prefer Kanto-era Brock over them, you really think sitting through 600+ episodes of him was a good thing? From Kanto to Johto, to AG and DP....Brock's character just got progressively worse and more and more dull. Likewise his repetitive flirting gag was completely run into the ground and he had shit chemistry with Dawn.

And also aside from Croagunk, most of the time you would forget Brock even had Pokemon.
