I'm beginning to think gamefreak pays people to shill the fucking cat. I've warmed up to it and it doesn't bother me because at the end of the day, it's just a fucking pokemon and it doesn't affect my life. But that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't what I was expecting at all ( in a bad way ) and it still looks like a looney tune while being ANOTHER fire starter that has a fighting theme.

But you know, looking at the original art makes me think that's it's actually a bit unfair to compare Machamp and Incineroar's anatomy because they have two different goals.

With Machamp, the main point of the design is the musculature itself. He's the superpower pokemon so he has a stereotypical body builder look. It's realitiscally over the top since anything more would look off putting, especially since they had to fit another set of arms there.

With incineroar, heel is the main concept. His attitude and animations are the main draw. The musculature is needed sure, but it's somewhat secondary, and the cartoony body works to its favor in that sense.

In the end, it's all just different strokes so whatever.
