When are we getting a velociraptor pokemon?
Never
you posted a deinonychus
>>29550839
As soon as we get a dolphin
or an actual grass
>>29550839
Stop this shit, we got fucking koala this gen and no one cares about that shit now. Same with Whale, zebra, gamba, jack-o, poodle and the panda. We get it and people just forget it
Grovyle and Archen(not Archeops.)
>>29550839
Scyther is basically a velociraptor with blade arms and insect wings
>>29550879
I mean, I still think it's fucking awesome that we got a T. Rex
>>29550839
>Feathers on dinos
KYS
>>29551131
>let's just randomly assume dinosaurs were covered in scales because, hey, jurassic park did it
You're worse
Dinosaurs had a combination of scales, feathers, and bare skin
>>29550839
Look no further!
>>29551131
What? Raptors had feathers. Get over yourself.
>>29551254
its a fucking gecko
>>29550839
>well will never have a Rock/Electric velociraptor with strong jaw for massive damaging thunder fang
What's the point?
>>29551131
most Theropods had feathers, though? It's 2016, most people should know this by now.
>>29550839
Dolphin
Raptor
Sunfish
Anemone
Sea snake
Kangaroo/Kangaroo rat
Possum
Serval
Burrowing owl
Thunder bird
Slug
More frogs, more beetles - so much variation here
Saber cat
Rhino
Something that might add more life to Pokémon is variants like different Kinglers for different places...Crustle having different rock for different areas...Some Pidgeys having different beaks...
Alola forms were a great idea, having Pokémon vary based on environment. But they fucking blew it and blew the whole opportunity to make so many Pokémon have unique versions and revitalize old mons...All for some dumb gimmicks. And now we'll never get decent variants.
AAAHHHHHH

I'm not saying that but if he's basing his modern beliefs off of a 20 years old movie then there's something up

>What is this from ?
>>29551430
>Anemone
Corsola
>Sea snake
Huntail and Gorebyss
>Thunderbird
Zapdos
>Slug
Slugma
I'd say Kangaskhan is a kangaroo but it really isn't besides the pouch.
>>29551559
Disregard what I said about Corsola. I often get anemone and coral mixed up.
>>29551176
>Thinking the THEORY of dino feathers is true
Also, don't pull that "lel Bet you donut believ in the deory of gravity!!!11!! xD"
We need a Flamingo Pokémon. Also a Puffin.
>>29551661
>>29551661
Bait doesnt work when the feathers are there on the bones
I don't know why you're doing that since just like what happened people would only have to post a fossil
You could have had an easier time saying dinosaurs arent real
>>29551661
>"but hey, that's just a theory..."
>>29551131
>Still believing misinformation from the 80's
Theropod dinos were essentially birds dude.
>>29551661
Dude, the bones have clear indents that correlate directly to where quills would have been on the living dinosaur.
There are fossil specimens like >>29551743
that clearly show some kind of feathery down.
As of now, feathers and down are mostly relegated to theropoda.
>>29551661
"Theory" is used in the same sense as musical theory, not in the "we're jut guessing" sense.
Don't talk about shit you know nothing of. You just look like an idiot.

>>29551909
This. Feathered dinosaurs are pretty much a proven fact.
>>29551430
>Anemone
We literally just got one this gen.
This argument is literally in every thread mentioning dinosaur pokemon.
Every single fucking thread.
Guys
Some dinosaurs had feathers
Some dinosaurs had scales
End of discussion
>>29551415
Treecko is a gecko.
>>29551954
And I hate it, but from a biological standpoint, it makes sense. As carnivorous theropods require more energy to hunt, being cold-blooded probably would relegate them to being active at certain times of day. Crocs and Gators can get away with it because they're ambush predators that live in aquatic environments that require little effort due to low stresses of an aquatic environment.
But a terrestrial hunter with cold-blood would need to mitigate heat loss and manage heat conservation to maximize hunting times so as to allow for more time searching for food and thus allowing for larger frames.
>>29551559
Corsola is coral
Huntail and Gorebyss are fish
I meant Thunderbird as in the giant predator ostrich, it doesn't fly
Slugma evolves
>>29551559
>Huntail and Gorebyss
There's a difference between "snake that lives in water" and "water creature that looks like a snake"
>>29551965
Which one?
>>29552043
I think feathered dinos are easier to imagine existing and scarier as a result
>>29552170
The one on the TCG packs
>>29552064
>giant predator ostrich
Do you mean Phorousracos?
>>29552170
He means this
>>29552224
Yes! Thank you, I'm mildly autistic. That is the one.
>>29552333
This seems more like an urchin than an Anemone, but maybe I'm too picky.

>I don't understand what a scientific theory is
You must be 18 or older to post here
>>29552370
You must have meant Terror Bird
>>29552427
Yea, got my words mixed up.
>>29550839
I'm really just wondering why you posted a Deinonychus and not a Velociraptor.
Care to explain?
Also i think the garchomp and sceptile evolution lines are kind of raptor-ish.
>>29550879
Noone cares about the koala because it's a stupid single-stage normal type that looks like a real koala holding a tree stump. If it evolved or actually looked interesting people would like it.
>>29550839
I'll just leave this here
>>29551430
>Sunfish
Alomomomomomola
>Anemone
Lileep
>Sea snake
Gyarados/Dragonair/Milotic
>Kangaroo
Kangaskhan, kind of.
>Kangaroo rat
Not exactly, But I'm pretty sure Raichu is a jerboa, which is kinda similar.
>Burowing owl
I think Rowlet is supposed to be an athene but I'm not sure.
>Thunder bird
You can't possibly miss this one.
>Slug
We got both Slugma and Shellos.
>More frogs
No. we already got like 10.
>More beetles
We pretty much get a new one each gen.
>Saber cat
Raikou?
>Rhino
Rhyhorn.
Maybe I didn't get this post?
>>29552882
There is no evidence for head crests on any known dinosaur.
For the T Rex in particular, there's evidence for scales on the feet and underside of the tail, and bare skin for the upper torso, which can signify either bare skin like an ostrich or feathers.
The big offense though is that middle T Rex's dangerous need of lips.
>>29552882
But it actually is very likely the the Trex was covered in feathers.
>>29553020
>>29553025
There's nothing indicating that any dinosaur was even 50% covered in feathers. Almost all the evidence leads to feathers on the back for warmth and maybe some on the head.
>>29553065
It depends on the species, but over all there are very few specimens with significant amounts of skin impressions. Also keep in mind that feathers require much more specific conditions to leave an impression.
>>29552941
gyarados and milotic are fish shaped like snakes.
>>29553237
Maybe Gyarados, but I think Milotic is some kind of sea serpent. Care to expand on why she isn't?
>>29553304
It's an oarfish
>>29551661
Are you a creationist or just stupid?
>>29553065
Are you retarded? We have fossils of dinosaurs completely covered in feathers. We even have a 30 foot Tyrannosaur named Yutyrannus that was covered head to toe (since it lived in a cold environment, but still, 30 fucking feet). And we have 3 specimens of that species specifically. We can confidently say pretty much every theropod had some degree of feathers.
Here's a good video:

Rock/Fighting with clawed feet and EVERY kicking move.
>>29554143
>high speed/attack rock/fighting velociraptor
>tough claws with speed boost HA
>>29553701
We don't know which dinos had feathers and which didn't.
we don't know how many they had or what they looked like.
>>29550839
Be patient, Anon. We only JUST got a koala and a wolf. And last gen was our first Tyrannosaurus.
We'll get a raptor eventually.
>>29554341
We do know which dinos had feathers, but we don't know enough to say with dinosaurs DID NOT 100% have feathers. Like >>29553205
said, the conditions for feathers to be identifiable in the fossil record is much more specific than your traditional skin impressions.
>>29554241
>>29554341
There are plenty of fossilized impressions that suggest which dinosaurs had feathers, scales, and where
>>29552186

>>29554341

>>29552186
>tfw non-avian dinosaurs will never exist and you can only think about them
Fuck me up senpai
>>29554630
I mean, we can only ever think about dinosaurs in general since they'll never exist again regardless of feathers.
According to >>29553205 though it looks like Carnotaurus is primarily scaled if that helps you cope.
>>29552186
To bring this full circle, that T-rex image is by the realistic pokemon artist RJ Palmer (Arvalis). He works on a dinosaur game called saurian which is basically a group of the most intelligent, well versed dino nerds of all time.
Me and my dudebro came up with "Velocirank" in high school. Rock/Poison raptor that had high Speed and Attack. About it, really.
>>29552882
OH BOY NO that middle T-rex is an even worse offender for fantasy lizard syndrome than the jurassic park version.
I love Stjepan Sejic's work but he has no idea how dinosaurs are constructed. In the very easiest to identify offense, that dino has bunny hands, bent down at the wrists. In reality they would be turned "palms" inwards, like bird wings, rotated at the wrist. Also, dem busted hips.
