Rock already has Stealth Rock, which gives tons of problems to pokemon weak to them.
As if Bug types weren't fucked enough: last gen we got the firebird, killer of plants and bugs, now a rock type priority.

Rock's not great defensively, but it is unarguably one of the best offensive types in the game. Fun fact, if a pokemon had all type at once, its only weakness would be rock.
