Since Gen VI only gave us Vivillon as far as new Bug Pokémon are concerned, I am happy that this Gen has several good Bug designs. Although I'm not feeling too bad about last Gen, since all Bug Megas were good.

Still not as good as gen 5, but I don't expect to ever get something like that again.

But yeah Vikkavolt and Wimpod's evo seem pretty great. I think 5th gen, though, is the gen that started to turn bugs away from permanently being shit with Scolipede and Galvantula.

However Pinsir is great and Beedrill is so comically minmaxed that I can't help but love it.

I'm hoping for Bug/Fighting personally. It's a solid typing Fuck Fairies , and the diving spider covers the Bug/Water everyone wanted so badly.

I'll agree with you on Heracross. It's ugly, and did a complete 180 on the theme of Heracross to begin with. Real shit tier Mega right there.

Scizor was good though. It's design matches it's function-- they're both good on their own without overshadowing each other in both regards. It's Mega is a stronger version of what it does normally, but sacrificing a Mega slot for it may not always be desirable, so it's base form is equally as applicable as a staple for a team. They also both look badass.
