The gist of your point is fair, but I doubt Type: Null will get Extreme Speed before it evolves into Silvally, if at all, and Type: Null's base Speed will no doubt be lower than Arceus.

It all depends on its attacking stats and movepool. If Type: Null gets Recover and an appropriate boosting move, it could take advantage of it's Battle Armor ability effectively.

Surely you wouldn't think something used multiple times by an important character woul be obtainable early.

If anything if it's like ORAS you might be lucky and get it near the end but not after the end.

I'm sure it'll be revealed that the Aether Foundation actually had 2 prototype Type: Nulls, and after seeing Gladion's success with his, they'll give you the other in hopes that you can also make use of it.
