I think it's so weird because the bubble is unlike anything you see on a Pokemon. It's like how Aurorus has gradient colors on its sails, I don't think any other Pokemon has gradient colors like that except for Mega Gengar. The closest thing I can think of to the bubble is Reuniclus' bubble, but even its model looks completely different. It's got weird lighting on the outer parts of the bubble compared to Reuniclus. I like it though, hope it gets a good typing.

Probably my least favourite design this gen. It looks super unappealing imo, and I don't get why it ditches the boxing theme. I don't blame the leaker dude who said this was a snowman. I could see this being the idea behind it's design, but it's not conveyed extremely well. I have never seen focus mitts that look like yeti crabs claws before.

Right now I don't especially like yeti crab, because it looks slow and would have many common weaknesses as a Fighting/Ice type. I don't mind it's goofy design, though, and it might have more personality once we see it's animations. I hope it gets a better ability than Hyper Cutter/Iron Fist in the end. It might actually work out OK as a defensive Pokémon if it gets Filter, since it only has 2x weaknesses. Or it might be possible to use it offensively even if it's speed is low if it gets Ice Shard and Mach Punch.

Whatever this is supposed to be, it looks like a defensive or support Pokémon. Water type seems like a given, and my first guess would be Poison for it's secondary type. That would be somewhat disappointing, though, since that's essentially a Tentacruel, even though the typing is good defensively. It might get Iron Barbs or Poison Point as it's ability. Right now I'm not very excited about this Pokémon.

The main reason why I don't feel this design could work is this: the body orientation.

This is best seen in the pre-evo since it has a tripod design. If this is how you say and its bottom half is its real head, how will it fight ? It has three out of six legs holding the bubble, two in the front and one on the back and the other three also have a similar orientation. If this thing would turn around to "face" you, it would only have two legs in the back and one in the front going completly down its face, it would be like having a metal bar constantly stuck on you face, in between you eyes and bloking your view point and it wouldn't be able to stand up either. The tripod design simply prevents this.

As for the final evolution, the way it's situated also suggests it won't have a good way of fighting. This is not like Mawile or Sceptile where it can just turn its head around to not blow its cover, its head and thorax are one piece and this is suposed to be a frontal view. Plus, we already know bugs and arthropods work differently in the pokemon world, they do have mouths and breath air through them, not like real bugs that do it via there entire body.

I know it sounds like a cool idea, but this is GF we're talking about, they can pull clever ideas and designs, but we shouldn't expect them to go full Lurantis on every pokemon.

I was wondering if this might be a Sun exclusive, with the medusoid/anemone/urchin thing being in Moon. Or the other way around maybe. As they're both two-stage (presumably) Water types that show up later in the dex like Skrelp and Clauncher. I like the evolved form of the spider more.
