Isn't too much of a coincidence that this seemingly inoffensive Owl became so popular everywhere before the SM starters were revealed AND it shares a very similar color scheme as Rowlett?

I think GF stealthily posted it on the internet to see how people would react, in order to know wether going with rowlett as a grass starter was a good idea or not.

The same thing probably happened with Ballio and friends. Yes, I know the person who drew them came here and debunked them, but how do we know he or she didn't work for GF?

I think that when they (GF) saw everyone calling Ballio "Rapelio" and other things, they decided not to go with that design, turning Popplio into Brionne and then Primarina, which are much more 'safer' designs.

That's also probably why the real started leaked so early. Maybe someone made a mistake and thought those were to be uploaded as well, when in reality they were the final product.
