In my town we're drastically outnumbered and that's all that really matters. We're also the underdog team on the grand scale of things. I'm not moving to another town for Pokemon Go. You can't prestige gyms up to level 10 and hope to remain like that for a couple days for coins and you can't blitzkrieg 3 or 4 gyms anymore late at night to collect. The new gym mechanics completely fucked me.

Here's some advice from an instinct with 5 perma-gyms that are 10, take remote gyms, gyms in places people wouldn't expect or on hiking trails. Here we rely on the laziness of the other teams to hold on to gyms. If you have to walk to it chances are there aren't many people who are going to take the effort to walk to a gym and then struggle with the effort to take down a level 10 gym.

Do any of you guys have a Pokemon Go Plus? Is it worth the money? Where do you wear it?

Why doesn't Niantic make this walking candy per km standard?It's actually tolerable to walk a pokemon to evolve it if it needed 50-100 candies to evolve instead of camping a spawn and it not like players would stop catching pokemon because of it.

It's not even a matter of lack of reinforcements because the gym was filled with 10 great defenders. It's a matter of the other two teams having enough players to just wreck a level 10 Instinct gym in 20-30 minutes depending on how many people are attacking it at once.

The only thing a FB group might help with is teaming up to take out enemy level 10 gyms but even then it doesn't really solve to the problem of never being able to maintain a level 10 gym for long enough for one fucking 20 hour cooldown to expire. I hate gym stagnation as much as the next guy but would 30 hours of a level 10 gym standing be too much to ask? Meanwhile I've seen 4 level 10 Mystic gyms untouched for more or less a month. Why? Because they have the numbers to reinforce or reclaim them, unlike us.

Anyone lvl 25 or above can take a lvl 10 gym alone, the key of making a strong gym is stablishing one where people can't or are not willing to stay long, them you expand from there. Gyms in places full of players will change hands even if it stays most of the time in the same team it will still change hands before it completes 21 hours.

Dragonites, arcanines, etc are pretty bad defenders by the way, they only have high CP and are useful only in small amounts. not that people care, they will just use another account to kick the lowest CP defender and substitute it by a Dragonite because people are dumb and egoistical.

Not gonna give more information to a rival.

My 40th 10k was Eevee (only ever hatched 2 of those out of 40 eggs, really good luck). I've hatched 3 Snorlax and caught 2 wild, hatched 2 Lapras and caught none wild. One Chansey and Hitmonlee out of 10k eggs and no encounters in the wild.

Dratini remains the sole pokemon I've never hatched (besides Tangela out of 5k eggs but Im swimming in those already). Farmed enough Dratini for a Dragonite and then farmed even more to max it out at 3000+ CP.

STAB + double type advantage gives ice types effectively double damage against a Dragonite.

They get around 50cp till their (not trainer) lvl30. After that they get half.
So my 91% one now is 2984 at 30.5.
The fact is that master race are considered only those over 3k at their lvl30 or less (trainer lvl29).

Thanks to the silph road study we know that mons with 91%+ IV are he first to have a <1% chance to spawn.
That means finding and evolving 100 dragonites (12500 candies) before even finding one with these IV and good luck with the moveset after having it. This guy is a white fly. Instead of its lvl30 he will reach 3k at 31, not the end of the world.

I understand turning down 82%- mons, if you are sick like me even 91%- ones. But being even more purist than that is just sickness. Gen2 will come out before your team is complete.
