Komodo dragon... dragon? Seriously? It couldn't have had a better name? Sammo-o would have been leagues better than just calling it "komodo dragon dragon," especially since it could have tied in the japanese samurai inspiration (Samurai + mo'o / (ko)modo) and the Australia and Oceania inspiration as well (Samoa + mo'o / (ko)modo).

Not to mention, giving it kabuki facepaint / Maori moko tattoos would have helped. Or just removing the hyphen and replacing it with MO'O, MODO, or MOKO, so whether it's intended to be Japanese, Australian, or Polynesian wouldn't be left up to interpretation.

That all being said, I get where the concept and theme was going - it's LITERALLY the representative Pokemon for Japanese culture mixing with foreign tropical islands, the theme behind Sun and Moon in the first place - but I just don't feel like it was executed as well as it could have been. I'm nicknaming mine anyways, so it's nothing really worth getting upset over.
