Who else is gonna be opening up generation 7 with a nuzlocke? The games are gonna be easy as fuck anyways, might as well make things interesting

Same.
My luck is so shit, I won't bother. I'll probably get crit three times in a row by the first trainer.

I looked at the Dex, and I wanted to run through with some of the new Alola Pokemon, something I missed out on in XY. I'll definitely do it on a second playthrough, but I want to experience as much as possible on my first playthrough without worrying about my ace dying and having to grind 10 levels to replace them.

I enjoy planning my teams because I enjoy playing with nice-looking pokemon, but I'm going to accept whatever the nature is without re-trying (except for legendaries), I'm not going to breed anything or try to get good IVs or EVs or go out of my way to gain any advantages.
Furthermore, I will not use any healing items, or reviving items, or battle items, or any other non-essential items.
That's good enough for me. I don't need to be 'hardcore' about pokemon playthroughs.
